• Individuals who live or work in La Porte, Morgan’s Point, and Shoreacres.
• Representatives of organizations and government entities serving those cities.
• Industry members include the major petrochemical industry facilities in La Porte, Texas.

Local plants began reaching out to community leaders to form advisory groups around 1990 as part of the Responsible Care initiative of the Chemical Manufacturers Association (now the American Chemistry Council).

• There are 9 community advisory councils (CAC) or community advisory panels (CAP) in east Harris County.
• The Deer Park Community Advisory Council and Pasadena Citizen’s Advisory Council also have websites.
